Improving Data Center Performance and Scalability – Archmep Meet and Talks

Nov 18, 2024

In recent years, the demand for data center projects has grown significantly, covering diverse scopes, scales, and locations—from industrial zones to urban centers. With nearly 30 years of architectural experience, our journey in data center design began with projects for an Indonesian cellular operator (2002–2013), located across Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi. These early projects laid the foundation for our expertise in this specialised field.

At the Archmep Meet and Talk event, our project director, Noegroho Tjiptorahardjo, presented “Improving Data Center Performance Scalability: An Architectural Approach.” His presentation highlighted the transition of our data center designs, from foundational projects (2002–2013) to our latest innovations (2020–present), demonstrating enhanced functionality and performance. One of the key aspects was scalability, a principle central to our designs from the outset. This approach emphasizes modular spaces—such as data halls, mechanical zones, and power systems—that enable seamless expansion to meet increasing operational demands.

Organized by Project Community, the event also featured valuable insights from industry experts, including Hendra Suryakusuma, Arga Sandhi Mirfaqaa, Daniel Edgarth, and Erick Hadi.
