Islamic Financial Center
Jakarta, Indonesia
This mixed-use building includes a notable financial center that soars majestically above the metropolitan landscape with 29 stories elegantly divided between two interconnected towers. An exceptional and noteworthy architectural element of this structure is its distinctive octagonal motif, artfully encasing the entire façade and also shaping the crown into a unique, jagged form. This unique geometric form does not end at the apex of the tower; it elegantly drops to the middle part, providing a cascade-like effect that unites the twin towers and extends down to the retail podium. This tiered platform is thoughtfully adorned with lush greenery, including trees and vegetation, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to a cooling effect within the internal spaces while offering a revitalizing visual treat to its occupants.
This innovative architectural approach goes beyond mere aesthetics, harmoniously integrating form and function. By incorporating this cascading garden terrace into the structure, the development not only adds a touch of natural beauty to the cityscape but also provides a practical solution for temperature control within the building. As the greenery flourishes on the staggered decks, it acts as a natural insulator, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and reduce energy consumption, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and pleasant environment for those who utilize the space. In fact, this project seamlessly combines modern aesthetics with environmental awareness, creating a captivating urban oasis that serves both the functional needs of a financial center and the well-being of its users.
The Islamic Financial Center’s interior exudes subtle beauty, achieving a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity. As you step inside, your gaze is immediately drawn to the marble-patterned floor that sprawls beneath your feet. The intricate design’s elegant combination of brown, grey, and white tones evokes a sense of timeless sophistication. The cool, smooth surface of the marble complements the warmth of the textured walls adorned with ornate wallpaper and reliefs. These walls, mostly in grey and white, have elaborate Islamic designs with gold and brown as an accent that provides depth and character to the area.
Curved elements in the architecture gently guide your eye, creating a sense of flow and serenity within the prayer hall. These curved forms soften the space, echoing the fluidity of Islamic calligraphy and architecture. In this refined setting, users find solace and spiritual connection, while appreciating the timeless beauty of Islamic design and craftsmanship.
