With the emergence of new patterns and changes in how and where people work, Archinesia in collaboration with LIXIL, hosted Thoughts & Talk to discuss how workplace architecture has shifted and the need to redefine workplaces to effectively meet the evolving needs of employees. Anggara Architeam is humbled and privileged to have our Principal and Founder, Budi Sumaatmadja, invited as to speak in the event.
The topic of the event is “The Future of Office and Workplace Environment” with a crucial discussion revolving around how workplaces can acclimate to current global trends. In this dialogue, the far-reaching impacts of diverse factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, shifts in climate dynamics, technological progressions, and the influence of the new-generation workforce took center stage.
A significant segment of the discussion revolved around the art of reshaping the physical environment of workplaces. Drawing upon the evolution of workplace architecture in the past and its potential trajectories in the future, the role architects play in crafting adaptable and responsive spaces is shown to be highly important. Amid these explorations, the concept of regenerative workspaces emerged, emphasizing a holistic approach that nurtures both occupants and the environment, nurturing a symbiotic relationship.
From retrofitting existing structures to envisioning new architectural marvels, strategies to enhance the functional and aesthetic attributes of workplaces were a focal point.
