Gudang Garam

Jakarta, Indonesia

The Gudang Garam Office Tower, a 25-story edifice in Jakarta, embraces the concept of green architecture, aligning with a growing trend in contemporary tall buildings within the city. At its core, the building’s design prioritizes sustainability and efficiency. It incorporates standardized green-tinted glass for its curtain walls, optimizing the use of natural daylight to illuminate interior spaces during daylight hours while simultaneously mitigating heat absorption. This thoughtful design not only reduces energy consumption but also enhances the overall comfort of the users.

Gudang Garam Office has a robust structure, featuring reinforced concrete core and outriggers with steel frames, is supported by 1.0 and 1.2-meter diameter bored piles fitted with Bridgestone’s elastomer rubber bearings. This innovative seismic isolation system ensures the building and its occupants remain secure during earthquakes.

Complementing the sustainable design, vertical fins have been introduced as a secondary skin to the building’s exterior. These fins not only serve to filter the incoming light, creating a visually appealing facade but also contribute to the building’s energy efficiency. Furthermore, the inclusion of ample greenery on the roof of the parking podium and the outdoor spaces along its frontage serves both practical and aesthetic purposes. These green elements not only provide natural cooling but also enhance the building’s visual appeal, contributing to a more pleasant urban environment. Gudang Garam Office Tower represents a modern approach to tall building design in Jakarta, combining sustainability and aesthetics to achieve a more environmentally responsible and visually appealing architectural presence.
