Avania
Jakarta, Indonesia
Avania is located along the prominent Jalan Gatot Subroto within the Golden Triangle of Jakarta. This mixed-use complex, comprising of an office tower and two residential towers, redefines city living by providing terrific urban panoramas and quality comfort amenities.
Challenged by the potential drawback of restricted vistas in a busy urban environment, each of the towers are strategically oriented to maximize the skyline views. Each of the elevations offer views of the bustling cityscape and establish a connection between the residents and the city.
Taking inspiration from the traditional architecture concept of interpreting a building anthropomorphically, the high-rise buildings are divided into the Crown (Head), Tower (Body), and Podium (Feet). The iconic, asymmetric silhouette of the buildings’ Crowns are adapted from Indonesia’s mountaintops as a contribution to the urban skyline. The façade adopts the pattern of traditional woven boards with a playful twist to enhance the views from the city and the people.
To counter the monotony of the urban jungle, the building integrate lush green areas and vibrant vertical gardens into the ground floor, the podium, and the crowns. The open spaces act as communal areas for the residents to enjoy the tower’s amenities and gather with views to the city.
With a height over 250 m, the office tower employs several strategies to ensure efficiency in vertical circulation. The tower has several lift complex, where one specifically caters to the lower zone of the building and another caters to the higher zone of the building. This ensures all of the floors are reachable with a quick wait of around 33 seconds.
